- Vacuum insulating panels, which are thin and have high insulating properties, are used in expensive cooler boxes. Traditionally, they’re used as partitions, but we’ve improved them so that they can be used as inner lids.
- SEIDO’s vacuum insulating panels use high-density composite fiber for the internal material. The composite fiber is woven into a fabric that’s resistant to scratches and tears for enhanced durability. The core material is made of inorganic thermal insulating material. By compressing and sealing the core material under vacuum, the panel achieves high thermal insulation performance despite its ultra-thinness, which isn’t possible with conventional thermal insulating materials.
- The thermal conductivity of the vacuum insulating panel is 0.008 W/m·K, which is four times better than that of the urethane foam insulation used in expensive cooler boxes.
- This product is designed to maintain the cooling effect without, as far as possible, squeezing the contents of the cooler box. 2½ lb of rock ice was left at 86°F for six hours, and the amount of ice remaining increased from 35 to 55%!
